How do I get to Punk's Backyard Ultra?
Punk's Backyard Ultra is located in village Negorci just 3km from the town of Gevgelija and from the Greek border. Our host location - the race venue - Negorski Banji spa is approximately 1.5 hours from Skopje and 1 hour from Thessaloniki by car through E75 highway.
What facilities are there?
There are basic facilities at the race venue. These include toilets, drinking water supply and a small charging station for headlamps and phones. We recommend you bring extra batteries/charging capabilities for your headlamps and phones as our power capabilities are limited.
Is there accommodation on site?
There are free campsites available at the race venue next to start/finish coral zone. To get the best sites that are closest to the start line, we recommend you arrive at PBU on Friday afternoon or Saturday early morning. Also, Negorski Banji hotels offer discounted prices for runners for half-board accommodation.
Yes. There is accommodations available in Gevgelija, hotels, motels and Airbnb options.
Is there parking available at the race venue?
Yes, free parking is available in front of the hotels in Negorski Banji as well as on the service street by the hotels.
What equipment should I bring to the race?
This is a race where you have to be self-sufficient and organised. Mandatory equipment includes phone, charged headlamp, 500ml water bottle. It’s advisable to also bring a raincoat and warm clothing as it can get cold at night and early in the morning. Aid station will provide water/electrolytes and basic food (soup, hot tea, fruit, bars, chocolate, chips). Beyond what is mentioned, all other food and drinks will need to be provided by race participants.
Can I bring my own race crew?
Yes, please do so. Race crew are welcome and we encourage you to bring your closest friends, or family and children to support you, but you will need to share the same campsite as there is limited space available.
How can I get photographs of the race?
A race photographer will take photos of every race participant and upload to our website and social media platforms as soon as possible.
